The Funding Network brings people together to support small charities through live crowdfunding events. Since 2002, TFN has raised over £22 million, supported more than 3,000 small charities and hosted over 800 events — proof that collective giving, when thoughtfully structured, can create extraordinary momentum.
Following our earlier rebrand for TFN’s 20th anniversary, Heat was invited to design and build a new website that could carry the organisation into its next chapter. The aim was to create a digital home that felt warmer, clearer and more immediate — a place where members, partners, charities and first-time visitors could quickly understand the TFN experience and the impact it creates.
The new site brings together storytelling, events, membership, impact data, charity alumni, corporate partnerships and open reporting within a more confident digital system. It needed to feel generous and human on the surface, while quietly handling a more complex structure behind the scenes — from upcoming and past events to partner-led activity, charity profiles, donation links, reports and member journeys.
At the heart of the site is a simple idea: helping people discover more of what’s good in the world. The design uses bold typography, energetic imagery, clear calls to action and a flexible CMS-led structure to reflect the atmosphere of a TFN event — purposeful, welcoming and full of possibility.
The result is a website that gives TFN a more expressive public platform, while making it easier for the team to share events, celebrate impact and tell the stories of the charities, donors and partners who make the network so powerful.
I want to recognise the significant contribution Heat Design has made to our charity. They re-branded The Funding Network for our 20th anniversary, including a stakeholder workshop, a collaborative design process, and a beautiful new creative identity. They expertly led the rollout across all communication channels and developed guidelines for creating materials in-house.
